Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Te Arai Links, the Te Arai Link
Cottages are a seamless fusion of luxury, natural
beauty, and expert craftsmanship. Inspired by the beloved Member
Cottages of Tara Iti Golf Club, these north-east facing retreats capture
unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean and the rolling greens of the
course.
Designed by Studio John Irving Architects, the cottages and six-bedroom
Te Arai Links Villas are thoughtfully integrated into their rural estate
setting, where weathered timber boards, sarked timber ceilings,
concrete, and stone create a timeless, organic aesthetic that blends
effortlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Myx was instrumental in delivering the specialty finishes that bring
warmth, durability, and refined elegance to this project. The natural
timber oiling of the cedar cladding enriched the grain while providing
essential protection against coastal elements. Timber intumescent
coatings ensured fire resistance without compromising the wood’s
natural beauty. Rockcote Cerano fireplaces added a sleek, modern
finish, seamlessly complementing the home’s organic material palette.
